Just Add Ink #274 - Just Add Inspiration

This week for the Just Add Ink Challenge we have an Inspiration Picture brought to you by fellow Just Add Ink Design Team Member, Trish. It's full of lots of neutral tones and wooden texture. Just beautiful!

My inspiration for my card came from the pattern in the wooden panel and the colours in the picture. I used the Stampin' Up! colours Tip Top Taupe, Very Vanilla, Basic Black and some Typeset DSP. I did think about putting Smoky Slate in there somewhere too but I already had enough going on. Sometimes less is more, isn't it?

Just looking at my striped panel I think I put the lines the wrong direction to the inspiration pic but you can see where I was going.

The wooden looking background layer comes from the DSP Color Me Irresistible. That is beautiful DSP. And I love that it is pre-embossed so that takes all the hard work out for you. You just have to put it on your card and it looks stunning. To easy!

It's all finished off with some of my all time favourite embellishments, Expressions Natural Elements, Gold Metallic Thread, Metallic Sequin Assortment and well anything with gold on it!

Come and join in the fun and show us what inspires you from the Inspiration Pic and make sure you check out all the AMAZING creations from the rest of the Just Add Ink Girls. Be sure to leave us a comment as we really love to hear what you think of our creations!

Below is a list of all the items that I used in this project. If you live in Australia and would like to purchase and of these items used then just click on the image and you will be directed to my online store.

  1. Fantastic card, Rochelle! Love the beautiful overall picture, and especially the little "crazy" gold accents with the wonky pennants and thread. Sweet! :) Thanks for the inspiration and best wishes from *Cori

  2. Goodness I love every accent you added to this Rochelle! But I have to admit the vellum embossed panel is the highlight (and layering it over the stripe DSP was inspired!). xxx
